Week 11 Step 8

1. Describe the purposes for and various stages of formative evaluation of technology plan.

the formative assessment process provides information needed to adjust teaching and learning while they are still happening. The process serves as practice for the student and a check for understanding during the learning process. The formative assessment process guides teachers in making decisions about future instruction.

2. Describe your instruments used in a formative evaluation.
The instruments used in formative evaluations are basically done on the fly. They permit the designers, learners, and instructors to monitor how well the instructional goals and objectives are being met. Its main purpose is to catch deficiencies so that the proper learning interventions can take place that allows the learners to master the required skills and knowledge. Formative evaluation was intended to foster development and improvement within an ongoing activity (or person, product, program, etc.)

3. Collect data according to a formative evaluation plan for a given set of technology plan or instructor presentation.

The evaluations at Beneke Elementary will be done with the scores that we get for the new STAARS evaluation the teachers have made. The teachers are the ones that are using the technology in the classroom. The teachers should be able to come up with ideas in which technology can incorporated into the curriculum. I would then pass this information to administration. The teachers point of views should always be considered
